Title: The Taste of Power Author: Adora, aka Me. Feedback: Yes, please. *flutters eyelashes* Pairing: One-sided Mark/Maureen, briefly mentioned Joanne/Maureen. Benny, Mark, and Maureen are the main characters in this fic. Rating: PG Genre: Angst, slight Romance. Summary: She was a performance artist, and sometimes, like when she threw the telephone out the window because a “flirty girl” had left a message for Mark (it turned out to be Cindy), Mark wished she wouldn’t bring her work home with her quite so often. Notes: Set...Post-Rent, with a vague flashback to October before Angel's death...a bit before Contact. Spoilers: Mark is a filmmaker. Benny...wants to build Cyberarts. Maureen is a cheating whore. Cindy is Mark's sister. Disclaimer: Not mine. Not mine at all. Rent belongs to Jonathan and the Larson Estate, and the first line is from Cabaret's "Two Ladies". There's also an altered Wicked quote hidden in there- Brownie points if you spot it.
( But we've one thing in common. He...she...and me, the key. )

| Icons |
[11 Jun 2006|03:12pm] |
Hello, all, this is my first icon post! Aren't we all excited? *moment for excitement* I just got the program three days ago. So basically just me messing around with cropping and colors. *shrug* Not exactly stellar, but hopefully I'll get better with time. =)
Ah yes, Rules, and all that jazz. Er....I'd love you to comment, whether you're taking any or not, and please credit me if you do take. Text-less icons aren't bases- it was just an artistic decision to leave them textless. And by artistic, I mean text is surprisingly hard to master, and most of the time it looked like crap when I tried to put on text. HOWEVER, if there's a text-less icon you really can't live without editing, please ask me first. Ask nicely, and I might say yes. =)
So, without further ado: ( MY BIG MULTI-FANDOM POST! 67 in all. )
There are: -13 RENT STAGE PLAY -6 RENT THE MOVIE -33 RENT CAST (play and movie) -2 DAVID SEARCHING -3 FEELING ELECTRIC -5 JOHNNY DEPP -5 MANOEL FELCIANO

| Rent 10 |
[06 Jun 2006|09:55am] |
Well, I'm sorry this took so long to get out! I...really have no excuse, other than being unspeakably lazy. But here they are, the rest of the Rent 10 .mp3's. The 1st set, in case you missed them, were here: http://community.livejournal.com/anthonyrapp/160008.html?nc=37
( Rent 10 .mp3 files )
Now, if you need me to re-upload anything, just let me know. Also, if I've missed anything (which I don't think I have) tell me and I'll try to get it in. ^_^ Enjoy!

| Crossover fic! |

Title: A Little Dramatic Irony Author: Adora, or human_toaster Feedback: Would be delightful, and loved almost as much as the movie this is based on. Pairing: A little David/Michael. Word Count: SHORT. 413, to be exact. Rating: PG, I suppose. Genre: Some Romance, but mostly general. Unless filmmaking nerd is a genre. Summary: David goes to see a movie. Yep. Notes: This is a fanfic from the movie David Searching, a lovely indie film in which David played by Anthony Rapp. So a bit of crack-fic. Also, if you haven't seen the movie, the only thing you really need to know is that David wants (and does, at the end of the movie) to make a documentary where he asks different people one question: "What do you hold to be an absolute truth?" Special Thanks: To my computer, for deleting my first attempt of this. Much love. Spoilers: Um…Rent was made into a movie. David is a documentation. Warnings: I know nothing about filmmaking, just so you know. Disclaimer: David Searching doesn’t belong to me. Neither does Rent. ( Read more... )

| Step off Sunday Morning |

Title: Step off Sunday Morning Author: Adora, or human_toaster Feedback: Would be greatly appreciated, as I'm very nervous about this fic! Pairing: Mentions (a *lot* of mentions) of past April/Roger, Mark/Roger friendship and a smidge of Mark/Collins friendship. Word Count: 816 Rating: PG-13, maybe R to be very safe. Genre: Quite a lot of angst. Summary: He carefully traces the words he can still see scrawled on the mirror- a simple “We’ve Got Aids”. Roger can’t be sure whether she kept it simple because there was too much to say, or too little. Notes: This is something that I think was better as an unformed idea in my head, but I'm still happy with the result. Inspirations are the bits from Light My Candle where Roger tells Mimi her smile reminds him of April's, and for some reason that odd Rent promo poster where Mark and Roger are in the bathroom.... Oh, and this is Pre-Rent. :) Special Thanks: To moowithme1989 for beta-ing on short notice and schooling me about dialogue. ;) Spoilers: April commits suicide. Roger was a junkie. Warnings: See "Spoilers". Also, I use way too many commas. And parenthesis. Disclaimer: I don’t own Rent or any of the characters. I own only the Rent dvd, and my pretty computer. Also, I must tell you, the line "...with Mark validating every other sentence out of his mouth with an ‘I love you’" was accidentially based (pretty much stolen) from one of spacemonkey699 's fics. It wasn't done purposefully, but there it is. -_- Just thought I should give her credit where credit is due.
